Information We Collect
Account data may include username, display name, password hash, referral code, assigned wallet addresses, payout preferences, withdrawal requests, conversion requests, and account activity.
Mining data may include worker names, wallet-style mining usernames, stratum connection IP addresses, accepted and rejected shares, hashrate, balances, blocks, payments, and timestamps.
Operational data may include server logs, API requests, browser session tokens stored locally by your browser, admin audit records, and wallet or exchange status metadata.
How We Use Data
We use data to authenticate users, display dashboard statistics, account for pool rewards, process manual withdrawals, apply pool fees and referral discounts, protect the pool from abuse, troubleshoot services, and improve reliability.
Custody And Blockchain Data
Orion currently operates as a custodial pool. Assigned deposit addresses, pool wallets, withdrawals, and transaction IDs may be recorded by Orion and may also appear on public blockchains. Blockchain data cannot generally be deleted or reversed by Orion.
Sharing
We may share limited data with infrastructure providers, wallet nodes, exchange APIs, email providers, or security tools when needed to operate the pool. We may disclose information if required by law, to protect the pool, or to investigate abuse.
Security
Passwords are stored as hashes. SMTP and exchange credentials are encrypted at rest by the backend. No internet-connected service can be guaranteed perfectly secure, so miners should use unique passwords and keep their own wallet backups safe.
Retention
We retain account, balance, ledger, audit, payout, referral, and mining records as long as needed for pool accounting, security, tax or operational review, and dispute handling. Server logs may be rotated or cleared during maintenance.
Your Choices
You can update your profile, payout preferences, and withdrawal destinations from the miner dashboard. For account changes that are not exposed in the dashboard, contact the pool operator.
Children
Orion Mining Pool is not intended for children. Do not create an account if you are not legally able to use mining pool services in your jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update this policy as the pool adds coins, payout methods, exchange integrations, or account features. The updated page will show the current date.
